My best-friend and I were a tad insane,
Though physically different, we behaved the same.
We started actually, much far apart,
But with a mutual familiar, we became close at heart.
Half a decade minus one saw us together,
Life on the second-story, forget never.
Friends to family, then we became enemies.
We suffered our rapport for frivolities.
365 days plus, we remained without base,
Our hearts raced but our feet stayed, such disgrace.
One turned to other friends in search of counsel,
Advised to disdain, he became a handful.
I sat, confused and soaked in write-ups’,
Regretting daily why I took the first shot.
We waged a war, but not a battle of fists,
It was prolonged but attachments didn’t sift.
But brothers would be brothers, I know that now,
We dropped our ammunitions and took a bow.
