Let’s read Romans chapter 5!

Let’s read Romans chapter 5! Romans chapter 5 has 21 verses. It takes us on a journey through deeper understanding of our justification by faith and peace towards God. It also takes us closer to how God views us. How He viewed us before our regeneration, and how He views us after regeneration. Amen.

At this point, you may first read through the entire chapter 5 on your own, first, then return to read through my summary which follows after this paragraph. Feel free to add elements of the revelation you get in the comment section! I would love to read them!

Praise God for the justification by faith. This is the justification that is recognized by God. This is the righteousness that abounds unto eternal life. Thank God for His mercy. Seeing that we were unable to meet the righteous requirements of the law, our blessed Father saw it fitting to send His Son to redeem us, so that His Son became sin and was judged on the cross for our sakes, so that through Him we might attain to righteousness. Such a beautiful exchange, amen!

Christ is our access to righteousness. He is the only way to reconciliation with God. Christ is the way, the truth and the life, amen. In Christ we can boast, whether it be in tribulations or sufferings, we can boast because the Lord is faithful. Because the Lord knows all, is all and is in all. Amen. Thank God we can boast. In our weaknesses we can boast, because the strength of Christ is made perfect in our weaknesses. Amen.

In the depths of sin, God demonstrated His love to us. Sending His begotten Son to die and redeem us from sin, now imagine; when we were filthy, God made such a move, how much more would He do, now that we are righteous?! Amen. The Lord is on our side. Mount Zion that can never be shaken, amen. This is truth. This is God’s way.

In creation, we humans have inherited the essence of Adam. The first Adam. Every flesh born of man and woman has been inputted with the original sin and through that sin, death has reigned. But thank God for Christ! The God-man! The last Adam. Now, believers like us can transcend the fallen nature of the first Adam and believe into the second Adam (Christ), and be separated from sin and death and ushered into life everlasting, Amen!

May the Lord enable us to put aside our works and come to Him in obedience and align ourselves with Him.
