Let’s read Romans chapter 2!

Hello, again! Romans chapter 2 has 29 verses. It gives a clearer picture of God’s righteous judgement and God’s judgement and the law.

You may read the entire chapter 2 on your own, first, then you may return to read through my summary which follows after this paragraph. As always, feel free to add comments based on your own understanding. I would love to read them as well. Amen.

We see Paul, here, separating Christianity from Religion. Where religion is like a face-value culture, Christianity is more in-depth. In religion, people are more interested in the letters of the law. They are unable to really get to know and experience God because they are more interested in following laws that they cannot keep, becoming prideful over self-righteousness and condemning others. But Christianity is different. In Christianity, we recognize our weaknesses as beings who cannot make it without God, and in these weaknesses, the strength of God is perfected, amen.

Where the judgement of man is porous and not based on truth, the judgement of God is based on truth (Our Lord Jesus Christ) and respects no one. God is calling us to take advantage of His enduring kindness to leave the dealings of the law behind and cling to Him. We have to come to a point where we realize that we are incapable of obtaining righteousness by the law, and that only one man has been worthy to attain to righteousness (Our Lord), and when we come to this point, our appreciation of the Lord becomes more and we are able to truly open up to Him so that we can become vessels unto honor, He can become our content and we can express Him. Amen.

May the Lord be merciful to us and lead us away from religion and works of the law and into His loving kindness and enduring faithfulness, Amen.
